Arizona Is The Only State Where The Mine Inspector Is Still Elected

When you get your ballot in November, you’ll have your choice of who to vote for governor, U.S. representatives and senators, of course. But, you’ll also see another race where you can weigh in: state mine inspector.

Arizona is the only state left that still elects a mine inspector.

Alison Steinbach recently wrote about it for the Arizona Republic. The Show spoke with her more about the obscure race — and she explained what exactly the state mine inspector does.
