On Tuesday, the Arizona Chamber of Commerce filed a lawsuit against the Invest in Ed campaign, saying the income-tax education funding ballot initiative was “poorly-drafted” and included misleading language. The goal is to kick the measure off the ballot.
Late last week, a lawsuit was filed against Clean Energy for a Healthy Arizona, the ballot initiative that wants a constitutional amendment for renewable energy by 2030. The suit came from the parent company of APS. It cited legal flaws like improper registration from the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office and language that was confusing for Arizona voters.
And Save Our Schools Arizona, the referendum on ending the expansion of charter schools in the state, successfully fought two court challenges claiming inaccurate information on its ballot petitions.
