Arizona Farmers Would Rather Have Trade Than Aid From Trump

The Trump administration released a $12 billion plan to aid America’s farmers this week. It’s an attempt by the White House to help farmers who are largely taking the brunt of retaliatory tariffs. Other countries have imposed those after the president set off an escalating trade war in an attempt to reshape America’s trade relationships.

But, is aid what Arizona’s farmers want? Arizona’s agricultural industry exports to 70 countries all over the world, and these tariffs will no doubt have an impact on farmers here, according to Phil Bashaw, CEO of the Arizona Farm Bureau.

The Show spoke with him more about the agricultural industry’s reaction to this aid package.
