Route 66 Road Trip Comes To Arizona

A new road trip across the famed American highway is aiming to do more than get its kicks on Route 66 — it’s trying to draw attention to the road and get it a National Historic Trail designation.

The trip started earlier this month in Chicago and will make its way to Northern Arizona this Thursday.

Jason Clement is the director of marketing campaigns for the National Trust for Historic Preservation. He launched the road trip in Chicago and led its first leg through Illinois and into Missouri. He joined The Show to talk about the Arizona leg of the journey.
