Water leaders have a lot of work to do in a short amount of time.
About three dozen of them met Thursday for the first of many meetings on the Drought Contingency Plan. The goal of this plan is, ultimately, to curb the lowering water levels of Lake Mead, a water source that serves multiple states including Arizona.
