Monday is the deadline to register to vote for Arizona's primary elections next month.

If you’re already registered to vote, and nothing has changed since you last voted, you’re all set. But if you’ve moved or changed your name or want to update your political party, you have to re-register by midnight on July 30.

You can register online or walk into your County Recorder’s office to fill out a form during regular hours of operation. Registrants must show satisfactory proof of citizenship — student ID’s don’t count.

If you are not registered with a political party, but want to vote in the primary, simply ask for a ballot for the primary you want to vote in.

Mail-in ballots go out this week. Primary Day is August 28th.

You can find frequently-asked-questions about registering to vote on the Maricopa County Recorder’s website. The Secretary of State's office also has a rundown of candidatesfor federal, statewide and state legislative candidates.
