The book "The Darkest Minds" imagines a future United States, where a mysterious disease has killed most of the country’s children, and the ones who survived develop special abilities seen as a danger by the government. The dystopian thriller hits the big screen today.
The series was written by Phoenix author Alexandra Bracken. Her latest book in the series, "The Darkest Legacy," came out this week as well.
