ASU Graduates Launch New Online Investment App

Two Arizona State University graduates have launched a new, user-friendly online investment calculator.

App co-creator Caleb Barclay said it offers simple calculator tools to figure out how much to save per month for someone’s desired retirement income.

“My hope for this app is that we can make financial literacy more accessible and free so people aren’t discouraged about where they’re at in their financial state and that this app would actually spark behavioral change in finances," Barclay said.

Barclay said there’s a trend among millennials who would rather save their money than invest it, which could result in an economic crisis when they prepare to retire.

The app is free to use and:

  • Calculates estimated retirement income with future lifestyle scenarios
  • Gives personalized suggestions for saving: airbnb, uber, tax refund, coffee fasts
  • Tells users how to become a millionaire based on today's investments
