Storm Damage In Arizona? Here's Some Things To Know About Insurance Coverage

With monsoon season in full force the past few weeks, some Arizonans may see damage to their homes.

Jeremy Mueller is with State Farm insurance. He said there are some important questions homeowners should ask their insurance companies during the storm season.

“What is my deductible? What type of coverage is there for trees if you do have a large tree on property if it were to land on your home," he said. "You want to make sure you have what’s called loss of use coverage and what that does is it puts that policyholder up in a hotel or a like model for however long it takes.”

Mueller said it’s important to be prepared and not count on traditional homeowner insurance.
