The future of healthcare is in femtech, according to Reenita Das with Frost & Sullivan, a global growth consulting and research firm.
The term, which refers to "female technology" was coined by the Danish entrepreneur Ida Tin who founded Clue, a period and fertility-tracking app for women that’s taken off in recent years. According to Das, this sector involves everything from software, apps, diagnostic products and tech services that work to improve women’s health.
Das said it’s filling a need that’s been ignored for too long, and she joined The Show to talk about it.
