Donnell Wildfire in California in 2018.

Firefighters continue to battle what is now the biggest wildfire in California history. Wildfire season seemingly has become year-round in parts of the country and across the globe.

David Bowman wants a better clearinghouse of fire information in the form of a worldwide fire database, to track things like how many buildings the fire burned, what was the impact on air pollution and what kind of fuel was burning.

Bowman is professor of environmental change biology at the University of Tasmania in Hobart. He joined The Show to talk about his network.

Mark Brodie is a co-host of The Show, KJZZ’s locally produced news magazine. Since starting at KJZZ in 2002, Brodie has been a host, reporter and producer, including several years covering the Arizona Legislature, based at the Capitol.
