Monsoon Stories 2018: A Painting And A Poem

The monsoon has been a muse for many — shifting, changing, sometimes teasing us with just a sprinkle, sometimes impossible to tune out.

As part of our monsoon series, we’ve heard from a painter, a photographer, and a pair of architects.

Quinn McDonald told us about the time she used actual monsoon rain to create vivid watercolors.

The Show heard from another listener who wanted to share his poem that so perfectly captures the grand entrance of a monsoon storm onto the Valley stage — and what it’s like to be in a front-row seat for the performance.

His name is Marcus Wright and his piece is titled "Sonoran Rainstorm."
