Hundreds Of Migrant Children Still Separated From Families

A court-imposed deadline to reunite undocumented immigrant families was reached late last month, but Trump administration figures released Thursday show nearly 20 percent of children remain without their parents.

More than 560 of 2,654 kids are still separated from their families — and 24 of them are 5 years old or younger.

In response on Friday, a group of Latino U.S. lawmakers held a press conference in Phoenix to call for action on reuniting families as quickly as possible.

For an update on reunification, Michel Marizco of KJZZ’s Fronteras Desk joined The Show.
