The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is much more commonly known as the LDS Church — and its followers as Mormons.
But top members of the church — led by President Russell M. Nelson — have decided to mount a public push to use its full name and discourage the use of abbreviations or other modifications.
What difference will that make and will the effort succeed?
