DeSoto Central Market in downtown Phoenix made a surprising announcement Monday. The collective culinary space, which opened in 2015, posted a statement on Facebook Monday morning saying it would be closed effective immediately.
The statement read:
"Over the years we have helped incubate restaurants beyond the walls of DeSoto as part of its mission."
The market went on to thank customers for their support.
The building located at Roosevelt and Central will remain standing, and DeSoto’s statement said new plans for the space are in the works.
