Disparity In State Aid Between Arizona Kinship, Foster Families

Arizona officials appear to be working to place more children who’ve been removed from their parents with family members than in foster care.

Those kinship families, however, get far less money from the state to help with expenses related to those kids.

Mary Jo Pitzl, an investigative reporter with the Arizona Republic who explored the issue, joined The Show to talk about it.
