Looking Into Continued Harassment At Grand Canyon National Park

In 2016, the then-superintendent of Grand Canyon National Park dissolved the canyon’s river district. That followed a report from the Interior Department describing a history of sexual harassment among guides.

New reporting shows harassment and bullying was more pervasive at the park than just that division, and in some cases, continued after officials had disbanded it.

Annette McGivney is a journalist based in Flagstaff and has written a lot about the Grand Canyon; her new piece in Outside Magazine is called “ The Woman Ending Harassment at the Grand Canyon.”
