A coalition of Republican attorneys general argued Wednesday in front of a federal judge that since Congress got rid of the penalty for people to not have health insurance, the entire Affordable Care Act should be struck down.

That group is led by Texas’s Ken Paxton and includes Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich.

Anthony Cave, a reporting fellow at KERA in Dallas was in the courtroom Wednesday and joined The Show to talk about it.

Meanwhile, a new analysis from the Kaiser Family Foundation found 26 percent of Valley residents have pre-existing conditions — that comes out to more than a million non-elderly adults.

Larry Leavitt, senior vice president for Health Reform at the Kaiser Family Foundation, also joined The Show to discuss the issue.
