Four former Phoenix Suns basketball players and one former team executive were honored Friday night.
Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, Grant Hill and Charlie Scott are now part of history.
The four former Phoenix Suns were inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Nash, a point guard, had a career record of 10,335 assists—the third highest in NBA history.
“This is incredible, obviously, to be here with this group,” Nash said. “This is a dream team for me, so to be part of it is an incredible honor. I just want to thank the Hall, all my classmates and everybody that had a big impact on my life and my career.”
Former Suns general manager Rick Welts was also inducted. He left the team in 2011 when he moved to Northern California to become the President of the Golden State Warriors.
