It seems intuitive that exercising makes us healthier in more ways than one — when our bodies are healthy, so are our minds.
But there’s actually not a lot of large-scale research supporting that belief. That's why Yale Professor Adam Checkroud and a team of researchers decided to complete a first-of-its-kind study to find out what kinds of exercise lead to the best mental health outcomes.
The Show spoke with Chekroud about the research and how it all started.
