Actors perform at the OK Corral in 2016, the scene of the famous 1881 gunfight that sealed Tombstone's place in Wild West lore.

Tell someone you’re from Arizona when you’re outside of the southwest and you might get questions about where your cowboy hat is or if the OK Corral was real.

That Old West lore still runs pretty strong — even here in our state. That’s why a team of reporters at the Arizona Republic dug into some of those old tales of cowboys in wide-brimmed hats.

The Show sat down with one of them, Weldon Johnson, to talk more about it.
