Korean-American Writer On Return Of Remains Of American Soldiers Killed In Korean War

Earlier this summer, 55 boxes were loaded onto a U.S. military plane to fly from South Korea to Hawaii. The boxes are believed to contain the remains of service members killed in the Korean War and were turned over by North Korea.

For Susan Kee, the development is personal.

Kee is a Korean-American writer who is working on a book of Korean War veterans’ stories and those who lost family members in the war.

The Show spoke with Kee recently and asked her, given the relations between the U.S. and North Korea and what we don’t know about that country, how optimistic should families be that their missing loved ones could be coming home.
