Hurricane Florence has been downgraded to a tropical storm and then, Monday morning, to a tropical depression — but that hasn’t stopped the massive, slow-moving storm’s path of destruction.

The latest reports say that 17 people have died. More than 460 people were rescued from cars and homes Saturday night through Sunday night, and an inundated North Carolina is looking at a forecast with more rain — with no end in sight.

Jeff Tiberii is a reporter at WUNC in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and he joined The Show to talk about it.
