Rachel Mitchell, Special Victims Division director at the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, played an unprecedented role in the Judiciary Committee hearing on Thursday, which heard testimony from Dr. Christine Blasey Ford alleging sexual assault by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
This was a high-profile event with testimony of a sensitive nature, and Mitchell, who spoke to KZZ in January, said her mission was to have her sex crimes division do “the best we can for victims.”
