Another Storm Will Move Into Arizona This Weekend

Another storm from the Pacific is moving into Arizona. It’s expected to arrive Saturday.

Meteorologist Bianca Hernandez is with the National Weather Service. She said the storm won’t bring quite as much rain as the one earlier this week, but it will pack a punch.

“We’re actually more focused right now on the severe weather threat that would come with it," she said. "What we mean by that is the winds, the hail potential, even maybe the potential in farther northern Arizona for some isolated tornadoes too.”

Hernandez said just about every part of Arizona, aside from the far western part, will see heavy rains. The storm is expected to move out on Monday.

Senior field correspondent Bridget Dowd has a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
