When you think about hackers, you might think of headlines about Russian hacking into the 2016 election or Facebook’s latest revelations about millions of its users’ information being hacked.
But last weekend at Arizona State University, a different kind of hacker group gathered together as part of the Hacks for Humanity. The 36-hour challenge focuses on creating hacks for the social good.
Wendy Wang has won the Hacks for Humanity twice, this year she served as a mentor for other teams at the hackathon. The Show spoke with her earlier this morning to talk more about the event — and who won this time around.
