Will Arizona's Housing Market Slow Down With The Rest Of The U.S. Economy?

All signs say that consumer confidence is high and the economy is strong, but it turns out, the housing market is slowing, at least nationally.

The S&P Case-Shiller home price index, which charts U.S. repeat house sales, says that even though home prices rose by 5.9 percent in July, that was the slowest pace of growth seen in the last 10 months. So is the Valley’s housing market also headed for stagnation?

To talk about that, Jim Belfiore, founder and CEO of Belfiore Real Estate Consulting, joined The Show.

Mark Brodie is a co-host of The Show, KJZZ’s locally produced news magazine. Since starting at KJZZ in 2002, Brodie has been a host, reporter and producer, including several years covering the Arizona Legislature, based at the Capitol.
