Arizona Voters Deciding Whether To Uphold Or Block School Voucher Expansion With Proposition 305

After Gov. Ducey signed into law last year a measure to expand the state’s Empowerment Scholarship Account — or ESA — program, a new group formed to oppose it.

Save Our Schools Arizona then collected more than 100,000 signatures to refer the law to the ballot, putting it on hold until voters have their say. That’s happening now with the measure known as Proposition 305.

A "yes" vote on 305 would uphold the law and expand the ESA program, while a "no" vote would keep the current law on ESA’s in place.

To talk about the pros and cons of the ballot measure, The Show spoke with Jenny Clark, with Yes Prop 305, who has two children who get ESA’s and Dawn Penich-Thacker, a co-founder of Save Our Schools Arizona, which opposes Prop 305.
