Early Voting Surges In Arizona

The Arizona Secretary of State’s Office is reporting a surge in early voting.

Spokesperson Matt Roberts said the office has received about 200,000 more early ballots this year than at this point in the 2014 election cycle.

“Almost 44 percent of the early ballots are Republican, almost 33 percent of those returned early ballots are Democrats, and about 22 percent or so is what most people call independents," he said.

Roberts said voters who haven’t returned their early ballots by Halloween should bring the ballot to a polling station or county recorder.
