Nationwide, gas prices are expected to drop dramatically in the next week or so, but according to Michelle Donati, spokesperson for AAA Arizona, this isn’t exactly the case.
“We don’t really see a specific impact to prices in Arizona nor any other states," he said. "With the market anticipating the pending Iran sanctions throughout the summer, motorists have likely seen the worst of it in terms of retail prices. If the current oil market remains steady gas prices are likely to continue to fall as much of about 10 cents here in the near term.”
Donati said this reprieve from summer to winter is common due to a different gas blend used in the different seasons.
