Do Consumers Still Think About 'Buying American?'

Sears announced earlier this month it was closing its store at the Paradise Valley Mall. That’s added to the roughly 40 Sears and Kmart stores that’ll be shutting their doors across the country.

Other American companies and brands have also struggled over the past few years, including IBM and Coca-Cola. That’s despite efforts to help domestic firms, including the Trump administration’s "America First" policies.

To talk more about this, Tim McMahon, an associate professor of practice at Creighton University’s Heider College of Business. He talked about whether consumers still cared about buying American, or if it's more about what they want and how much it costs.
