Montana-Based Contractor Wins Border Wall Replacement Build Contract in Arizona

U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Army Corp of Engineers awarded the contract to Barnard Construction, a company hired last spring to build 20 miles of replacement wall in southern New Mexico.

The federal government anticipates building 32 miles of replacement walls in the Border Patrol’s Tucson and Yuma sectors for a total $324 million. But a spokesman declined to answer questions as to when the remainder of the contract will be awarded.

This contract signals the first time the Trump administration has contracted out border wall projects in Arizona.
