What Were The Deciding Issues In The November Elections?

Whether the “Blue Wave” actually happened on November 6 may be a matter of semantics. But Democrats did do very well in picking up more than 30 U.S. House seats, reclaiming a majority in that body.

What were the factors? How important was President Trump in influencing suburban women to vote for Democrats?

The co-hosts of the Pollsters podcast Kristen Soltis Anderson and Margie Omero were at ASU last week for a post-election analysis presented by the university’s School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership. Anderson is the co-founder of Echelon Insights, and Omero is a principal at GBA Strategies and a Democratic pollster.

The Show spoke with them and started by asking Omero whether the big issue for voters across the country was President Trump, healthcare, immigration or something else.

Steve Goldstein was a host at KJZZ from 1997 to 2022.
