On Monday afternoon, just before 3:00 p.m., NASA’s InSight probe made a successful landing on the surface of Mars.
Landing InSight on the red planet was quite an accomplishment. It left California Vandenberg Air Force Base six months ago, and has traveled 300 million miles since. So, what are scientists hoping it will accomplish up there?
For more on that, The Show spoke with Tanya Harrison. Harrison is the director of research at the NewSpace Initiative at ASU and has worked on earlier Mars rover landings.
