AZ Pharmacist Sentenced After Diverting 200,000 Opioids

An Arizona pharmacist and pharmacy technician have been sentenced to 10 years in prison for diverting hundreds of thousands of opioids, using a Scottsdale pharmacy as a front.

Vilawoe Boadu and Zinka Sisic processed fake prescriptions and distributed more tha n200,000 oxycodone and hydrocodone tablets and other prescription medications.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, two others were convicted in the case. Michael Karron Holley and Julian Thomas Petty (also known as “Swerve Baller” and “Bouji,”) helped create the fake prescriptions.

Investigators seized 25 firearms, several bank accounts and vehicles, and more than 650 pairs of designer shoes.
