Wednesday night at Crescent Ballroom in downtown Phoenix, musicians from Phoenix’s punk scene will gather together for one of their own: longtime Phoenix musician and artist Steve Davis — better known as Stevie D.

Stevie D has stage four liver cancer, a result of contracting hepatitis C in the late 1970s when he started using heroin.

Now, he’s been clean for a decade and is living what’s left of his life to the fullest.

Tom Reardon wrote about him recently for the Phoenix New Times. The Show spoke with him more about Stevie D’s life and how it has paralleled Phoenix's punk music scene for the last several decades.
