Phoenix-Area Churches Ask For Help For Migrants Dropped Off By ICE

ICE officials have been dropping off migrants at some local churches, and the holidays and government shutdown haven’t slowed things down. If anything, activists say, resources are strained by the number of migrants needing assistance.

Lydia Guzman with the nonprofit, Chicanos por la Causa, said the drop offs are happening on an almost daily basis in Phoenix. She joined The Show to talk more about it.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Lydia Guzman is a volunteer with the effort to help migrants, but Chicanos por la Causa is not receiving migrants nor accepting donations.
