Arizona’s new congressional delegation is being sworn into office on Thursday.
The group of politicians representing Arizona has less overall experience in the U.S. Congress than it has in the past.
Arizona’s delegation remains closely split between the two parties.
Former Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton is the only newcomer to Congress.
In the U.S. House of Representatives, Stanton joins fellow Democrats Raul Grijalva, Ruben Gallego, Tom O’Halleran and Ann Kirkpatrick, who holds the former seat of Martha McSally.
Republicans Andy Biggs, David Schweikert, Paul Gosar and Debbie Lesko, whose first term only began in May, are all returning to the U.S. House.
Kyrsten Sinema will be sworn in as Arizona’s senior senator and serve alongside her former campaign rival Martha McSally who takes over the seat of John McCain, which was briefly held by Sen. Jon Kyl.
