Trump Administration Rolls Back Nutrition Standards For School Lunches

The Trump Administration recently announced it would loosen nutrition standards for school food, rolling back some of the requirements the Obama Administration put into place in 2010.

The new standards, for example, lower the percentage of grain products that have to be whole-grain rich.

The Show spoke more about how these new rules may impact schools with Loretta Zullo, the director of food and nutrition for Mesa Public Schools — which is the state’s biggest district — and asked her if she thinks the new standards will change much in their schools.
