New App Warns Los Angeles Users Of Earthquakes

Los Angeles residents now have a new way to get warning about earthquakes.

The city is rolling out a new smartphone app called ShakeAlertLA. It’s believed to be the first app of its kind in the U.S., and is now available for both Apple and Android phones.

The Show spoke with Scott Brandenberg more about this. He’s a professor and associate dean in the School of Engineering at UCLA.
