Why One Researcher Says Some Defendants Are Not Judged By A Jury Of Their Peers

What role does race, or more specifically, racial bias, play in jury selection? There hasn’t been a lot of research on this, so Ron Wright and some colleagues set out to change that.

Wright is a law professor at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, and he and his colleagues went to courthouses across the state to look into the issue.

He wrote about his findings in an op-ed in the New York Times, and he joined The Show to talk about it.
