In late November, Skip Hall became the new mayor of Surprise, after the previous mayor resigned.
Hall had served for a decade on the City Council, and will serve out the last two years of former Mayor Sharon Wolcott’s term.
The Show recently talked to Hall at Surprise City Hall. He outlined his seven-point plan for the city, which includes more funding for police and fire, strengthening the city’s relationship with Ottawa University, which is building out its campus right next door and economic development in the downtown area.
There have been competing visions over the years for what the downtown Surprise area could and should be, and Hall talked about what he’d like to see when he looks out his office windows.
