The woman who left a newborn baby in a south Phoenix Amazon distribution center bathroom last week has been released without bail.
In a court appearance Tuesday night, the 22-year-old Amazon employee said she didn’t know she was pregnant and panicked after giving birth on her lunch break.
Prosecutors say there is no evidence the woman harmed the child and a medical examiner is investigating the woman’s claim that the child was stillborn.
