The Arizona Republican Party has elected a new chair. Kelli Ward, Arizona senator and U.S. Senate candidate, ousted incumbent Jonathan Lines in a vote on Saturday.

Ward ran unsuccessfully against John McCain in the GOP senate primary in 2016 and lost again in last year’s primary to Martha McSally.

To talk about her win and taking over leadership of the state party, The Show spoke with Shane Wikfors, a political and public relations consultant with Red Mountain Consulting. He’s also a former communications director for the state Republican Party.
