Deadline Reached For Drought Contingency Plan, Debate Continues

Jan. 31 is the deadline set by the Bureau of Land Management to finalize a state Drought Contingency Plan.

Wednesday, a Senate committee voted 6-1 to pass a pair of measures outlining how the state will deal with cutbacks to Colorado River water in the future. Thursday, both the House and Senate are expected to debate and vote on the bills.
