Tonight is the First Friday Art Walk in downtown Phoenix and, according to the Phoenix New Times, there’s a new gallery opening up just a few blocks north in midtown.
Iraqi artist Bassim Al-Shaker is opening up the Green Leaf Gallery in a new apartment complex just next to the Phoenix Art Museum and Phoenix Theater, and his goals for it are lofty.
The Show's Lauren Gilger went out to the new space recently as Al-Shaker was setting it up.
