The state is projecting to add nearly 166,000 jobs between the third quarter of 2018 and the end of the second quarter of 2020 — that translates to 2.7 percent job growth over the two-year period.
The Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity also forecasts job gains in all 11 sectors, with construction and manufacturing leading the way.
Kevin Sullivan, executive vice president for client services and sales at the Arizona Commerce Authority, said the numbers aren’t much of a surprise to him.
"We’ve had tremendous success lately, and that breeds more success," he said. "We have a number of major companies that have relocated over the last three to four years and Arizona is getting noticed for sure."
