Snow Storm Moves To Tucson

It’s the most snow received in the city in six years. Residents quickly flocked to the Tucson Mountains where the normally sweeping grandeur of Gates Pass was blanketed.

"The entire desert [is] covered in snow, fluffy snow," said Megan Litwicki, who is from Tucson and came out to the overlook here to watch the gentle snowfall.

Dylan Lawson is also from Tucson, born and raised. He was here because, really, how often do we get this?

"Like this? Never," Lawson laughed. "This has been going on for like two hours now."

The National Weather Service said this storm would move east and south of Tucson where already, Interstate 10 outside Benson was temporarily closed Friday morning.
