What happens when kids realize their entire life is already online?
That’s the question Taylor Lorenz tackles in a new article in the Atlantic about so-called “ sharenting,” when parents post every cute face, new word and life event on their social media accounts.
But how much is too much when it comes to sharing your kids' lives online, and when should they get a say in how they shape their online identity?
The Atlantic article brought that question into the spotlight and The Show spoke with ASU’s Director of Social Technologies, Alexander Halavais, to talk more about it.
He said wanting to share your life online is not entirely new, but the ways we do it certainly are.
