As states across the country debate K-12 education funding and increasing pay for teachers, new numbers released by the U.S. Census Bureau show the educational achievement landscape in our country is changing.
Since 2000, the number of people with master’s and doctoral degrees has doubled. Two decades ago, just a third of Americans who had a bachelor’s degree went on to earn a higher degree. By 2018, that number rose to 37 percent.
